Our farming philosophy is to grow the healthiest, most nutritious vegetables for our community and ourselves

Hinterland Farm and Kitchen is a Certified Naturally Grown small market farm located in a remote area of West Michigan. We grow a high diversity of crops produced on less than two acres of land focusing on regenerative and sustainable practices, all without the use of herbicides, pesticides, synthetic fertilizers, and no genetically modified plants or seeds. We build and maintain fertile soil through natural methods and rely on manual tools and simple equipment to cultivate and nurture the healthiest, most nutritious vegetables for our community and ourselves.

Guided by our philosophy to bring nutritious and healthy food to the community, our food items focus on quality ingredients.

Using the best ingredients and our own produce when possible, we make food products inspired by what we grow on the farm. We make salad dressing to pair with our delicious greens, hot sauce inspired by our own upbringing and farm-grown peppers, and pasta's flavored with Hinterland herbs and perfectly paired with our heirloom tomatoes in late summer. Whatever we make we know it was influenced by our personal histories and guided by the ripe produce harvested from the gardens.
